Summer is almost over and fall is fast approaching. This can only mean that another year of Greek School is soon to begin! Registration for the 2010/2011 school year will take place on Thursday, September 9 at the Manitoba Hellenic Cultural Centre between 6:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m. The evening will begin with an information session presented by the Parent Association and the Principal. Please be on time in order that you receive all the information which you will require for the school year. Registration forms are attached and will also be available at registration. Classes for children ages 5 – 12 will commence on Saturday, September 11. As in the past, we will start the school year with Agiasmos at 9:00 a.m. at St. Demetrios Greek Orthodox Church. Classes will begin immediately following at the MHCC. Dismissal is at 1:00 p.m. Classes for Yiayia Gogo will commence on Saturday, September 18 at the MHCC from 9:15 a.m. to 10:15 a.m. Parents are requested to remain at the school with their preschool age children. (Please feel free to join us for Agiasmos at the church.) Classes for Teens (ages 13 – 17 or having completed grade 6 level Greek School) and Adults (ages 18+) will be held on a weekday evening at the MHCC. Further information will be provided upon registration. **Teen and Adult Classes are subject to a minimum number of students registering. TUITION FEES: LEVELS 1* – 6 CHURCH MEMBER $275 NON-MEMBER $350 *To register in Level 1 (Kindergarten), children must be age 5 by December 31. YIAYIA GOGO** $75 **To register in the Yiayia Gogo class, children must be age 4 by December 31. TEEN CLASS CHURCH MEMBER $325 NON-MEMBER $400 ADULT CLASS CHURCH MEMBER $325 NON-MEMBER $400 PAYMENT BY MASTERCARD AND VISA WILL NOW BE ACCEPTED FOR TUITION FEES VOLUNTEER BOND REQUIREMENT A mandatory bond cheque of $100 will be required from each family at registration. An optional cheque of $75 will be accepted in lieu of the food donations for the luncheons. Please see the attached for details.
